Pet Urine Stain Removal

Cleaning Pet Stains

Have you recently gotten a new pet? While they’re potty training or if they ever become ill, accidents can happen. Especially here in Bloomington when it's winter, as many pets prefer to stay indoors. The basic steps for pet urine remover are similar to other stains. However, it is also a good idea to treat the area with an odor neutralizer. Most importantly, it neutralizes the odor, so your carpets don’t continue smelling like urine long after the accident has been cleaned up.

If you do have any puppy stains that dry before you get home for the day or you notice them, we can help. We can handle the pet urine remover for you, ensuring they’re cleaned properly and that the carpets will smell fresh once again. It is important to neutralize the stain and the odor so as not to entice the animal to continue to soil in that area.  Though accidents will happen, they don’t have to mean getting rid of the carpets or area rugs.

The need to remove pet stains and odors are imperative to protecting one of your most valuable assets-your home. A property left untreated from animal urine and accidents can lead to a much lower resale when its time to move.  Hence, time to call the Carpet Cleaner Of Bloomington. You need a deep clean which will draw the stain not only from the carpet, but the padding as well. This again will keep the animal from soiling in the same place because the odor and stain will be gone. We will make sure we get that animal stain the deep clean that it needs!

If you must do it yourself at home and try to clean the pet stains yourself here are a few helpful hints....
  • Pet urine stains on carpet. A homemade solution of baking soda and vinegar may do the trick. Do not mix them together and try to apply to the stain. Do it one at a time. Put the vinegar down on the stain first then add the baking soda on top of it. Use more of the vinegar than the baking soda. Cover the stain with the solution for 24 hours. Take cover off after the 24 hours has passed and make sure area is thoroughly dry and vacuum up.
  • Pet stains on laminate. Probably the easiest to clean up. Damp cloth should do the trick as long as it is applied within the first 45 minutes or so of the stain happening.
  • Pet stains on hardwood. Little trickier here. Going to be easier than carpet but certain care is needed. The liquid pet urine stains can be permanent if not dealt with in a timely fashion. Hydrogen peroxide is best here as we are dealing with not only the liquid aspect of the stain but also the salt content which is in the animals urine which will smell long after. Soak a cloth in the peroxide and then apply it to the stained area. It may remove some of the stain of the wood but will prevent the smell from permeating.
